Suleiman Large Vase

Sculptural vase that reinterprets the traditional Moor's heads of Caltagirone ceramics into a contemporary key, and proposes them in monochromatic models. Handcrafted in Italy, Solimano Large, h 38 cm, is available in multiple colors.

The voluminous turban, the prominent nose and the thick mustache define a proud, elegant and mysterious figure, representing Suleiman the Magnificent, sultan of the Ottoman Empire during the 16th century. A tribute to ceramic art and to Middle Eastern peoples who spread its technique.

Solimano vase proposes the Moor's heads of Caltagirone ceramic tradition and reinterprets them in a contemporary way; vibrant glazed monochromes, referring to the shades of Sicilian sun, sky and land, highlight the lines and the details.
