Valentina De Carolis, designer by vocation: from the Diploma in Industrial Design (porcelain specialization), the degree in Product Design at the Rome Sapienza University, to a product and graphic designer who self-produce. Her products collection moves through signs, language and the use of colors, by conveying the bond with the territory, tradition, materials, culture, everything redesigned in an extremely contemporary way.
We present on Debou the collection "Details" and "Filet", dishes that tell the poetry and the charm of the world details.
A short description of your collection.
A collection of plates that narrates the poetry and suggestions living behind each detail. Objects created by looking around searching small, invisible details: from washed out floors to flaking walls, in those stains and scratches left by the time. The hands that weave, the thread that fills in the outlined design embellishing the net. Small signs that evoke feelings, turning them into something eternal.
What inspires you?
From the beauty surrounding us, we just need to look for it.
Your style in three words.
Contemporary, evocative, useful
Detail makes a difference... What’s yours?
Never forget to whom this project is addressed and how it is going to be used…
Which object do you wish to design?
A collection: floors, wallpapers and textiles. I’m half way there.
If your brand was a song?
